If you have read some of my craft haul posts you will know that I bought a lot of embroidery thread. Well, I didn’t really have a place to put them once I took them out of the packaging and it looked messy. So I looked up some ideas of how to keep them neat and came to the conclusion that I should just make something a DIY. I am reusing cereal boxes which you might have if you eat cereal as well as something you probably didn’t think of. So, if you want to know how I made my embroidery thread neat and tidy, read on! As Salamu Alikum and hi everyone!
I was brain storming some blog post ideas yesterday, because I really need to, and thought to ask some questions to see if anyone can relate to them and I would give my answer to the questions. I will ask three questions, so let's get started! As Salamu Alikum and hello everyone!
I have here another haul, of which I got today. I brought a list with me this time to the notions shop to make sure I got what I needed and didn't just go buy some random things and then I come home and have to think about how I am going to use them. There is another Amigurumi bear I started, because I was so bored. I also used my stamp ink and took pictures to show how the pretty colors they aren't all what they are on paper. For a change, I am going to tell a story. In this story, I learned a lesson. To find out what lesson I learned, please read on. I was in 5th grade at a private school (most schools in the U.A.E. are private schools. The public schools are for the locals). It was Ramadan and my school was having an iftar for their teachers, students and the parents. We still went to school during Ramadan people! I think there was a day for the males and a day for the females as I don’t remember seeing any boys or fathers. As Salamu Alikum and hello everyone!
Today isn't really a craft post, but after getting this sewing machine, inshallah I hope to be showing some things I make using the sewing machine. This is my very own sewing machine! I have posted a picture where there is a sewing machine in the background, but that was my Grandma's that I was borrowing to make myself some curtains. Mashallah, I made 7 pannels, with the help of my Grandma!! My windows are really wide and are on two walls, so we needed a lot of fabric. They aren't completely finished, as I need to sew the hidden tabs in the back and lining on them, but for now they are hanging up, being patient. As Salamu Alikum and hello everyone!
“What is a habit? A habit is something a person does often in a regular and repeated way, and it tends to happen unconsciously.” I know I have some habits that aren’t exactly great. I wanted to find out how I could make some good habits (like washing my face daily with facial cleanser) and I found out some things that I never knew and wanted to share them with you all. I found some of this information from The Sassy Life and Wikipedia. |
