Recently, a few family members went traveling and I asked if they could get me some crafting items, mostly for crocheting, and I'd pay them back. In this post I will share the products I asked for, as well as something that was given as a gift.
As salamu alikum and hello!

As salamu alikum and hello! Today I have here you another tutorial! This project reuses items that can be found around the house, and for no cost at all! Who doesn't like something free?
*This was originally posted on the Crochet blog page I added but I think I am going to change it so I am posting it here*
As Salamu Alikum and hello everyone! I went and got some yarn about a week ago (again, I know!) and decided that since I now have a sewing machine (mashallah) and I do want to make things with it, besides curtains, I would need fabric scissors since I didn't have any. So I made my stops into the notion shops and asked about the scissors and the price and whatnot, and then came to the conclusion that fabric scissors are rather costly. As Salamu Alikum and hello everyone!
If you have read some of my craft haul posts you will know that I bought a lot of embroidery thread. Well, I didn’t really have a place to put them once I took them out of the packaging and it looked messy. So I looked up some ideas of how to keep them neat and came to the conclusion that I should just make something a DIY. I am reusing cereal boxes which you might have if you eat cereal as well as something you probably didn’t think of. So, if you want to know how I made my embroidery thread neat and tidy, read on! As Salamu Alikum and hello everyone!
Today isn't really a craft post, but after getting this sewing machine, inshallah I hope to be showing some things I make using the sewing machine. This is my very own sewing machine! I have posted a picture where there is a sewing machine in the background, but that was my Grandma's that I was borrowing to make myself some curtains. Mashallah, I made 7 pannels, with the help of my Grandma!! My windows are really wide and are on two walls, so we needed a lot of fabric. They aren't completely finished, as I need to sew the hidden tabs in the back and lining on them, but for now they are hanging up, being patient. As Salamu Alikum and hello everyone!!
Last weekend I stayed over one of my best friend’s house and we FINALLY used the canvases and crayons (cheap ones) I brought over a long time ago. There were two canvases and we each took one and did our own idea on it. As Salamu Alikum and hello everyone! Last week was REALLY busy but now we got to get back on track, and into business. I don't have a craft for this week, BUT I do have a haul. Well, this one is smaller than the last one I got last time. But alhamdulillah it was really great to get this stuff. So, here are the things I got. Oh, and by the way, I did make another project, I just didn't have time to put it all together to post it yet, but soon inshallah.
As Salamu Alikum and konbanwa menasan!
This is the second part to the hat stand pictorial I posted today and as a special treat, I am posting TWICE in one day! All because I was procrastinating and posted really late earlier today. If you haven't read the first part, I suggest that you do if you're interested in finding out how I made this hat stand. As Salamu Alikum and hello menasan!
Ohh whee!!! My very first tutorial! I never did one before! This tutorial is going to be for a hat stand. You can use it for whatever, for your own personal use, photos, craft show etc. I am making this for taking pictures with. I have looked all around the internet and found some really nice hat stands. There just weren’t that many that actually showed you how to make your own without having to go buy all these wood pieces, and cut and screw them in place. Not that I can’t do that. I wanted to find something that I could make that was real easy. And you guys see my hands!!! LOL that was really random! Haul As Salamu Alikum and hi everyone!
Last week I went to Daiso and got some things that I thought I could use that would help me with some projects that I wanted to do. Now, I like seeing people’s hauls and stuff, but one day I thought to myself, ‘Hey, aren’t hauls just a way to show off? Like, a way to show off the things you got with your money?’ I suppose so… I’m still not sure. Well, obviously with that mentality I wouldn’t be posting about one now would I? That would be contradicting myself! |
