Some time ago when my sewing machine had started to not work so well, I had just started to make this reversible fabric book cover. I was able to finish it alhamdulillah, but I forgot about it when I washed it after it got a stain on it the same day that I put it on the book I made it for.
As salamu alikum and hello!

As salamu alikum and hello everyone!
How was your Eid? I hope you enjoyed yours. Alhamdulillah I did, very much. Shout-out to my dad for being very patient and for making Eid very fun! For the months of September and October I have been and will be reading inshallah 'The Exile' by Allan Folsom, the author of The Day After Tomorrow, which I have read and greatly enjoyed. I have had this book, The Exile, for about two months I think (I'm borrowing it from a sister) and it has been taking me so long to read it for some reason. I hope to be finished with it by the end of October inshallah, so I can give it back! As salamu alikum and hello everyone!
I know this is pretty late but I wanted to make sure I finished this post and post it today inshallah! I have made myself a hat, as well as a pillow case, which is a real learning experience that required a lot of improvising, and I have three WIPs that I’ve been working on. So let’s get to it! As salamu alikum and hello!
Recently, a few family members went traveling and I asked if they could get me some crafting items, mostly for crocheting, and I'd pay them back. In this post I will share the products I asked for, as well as something that was given as a gift. As salamu alikum and hello everyone! People have started going to work this week mashallah. The summer has ended for most people, and schools are starting next week inshallah. I think :P. I know some of my friends are, inshallah.
I made a few things during the summer, and put a few of them into this post! As Salamu Alikum and Holla!
I really loved the Amish Puzzle Ball that I made before and I remembered seeing on –‘s blog that she had other patterns for different Puzzle Balls, and I wanted to try making one for a girl and I decided to make the Flower Puzzle Ball. Crochet Project: Colorful Flower Necklace and Book of the Week: Spy Girl: Once Upon a Crime11/5/2015 As Salamu Alikum and 'ello everyone!
I am just about finished with my full skeins of yarn (eek!!) and I have a lot of random scraps. Since I was finished with some yarn I got recently for a project I am working on, I wanted to make another necklace because they don’t take that much yarn to make. I found this lovely pattern from a blog called Chabe GS. I made a few differences because of the amount of materials I had. As Salamu Alikum and hello everyone! Last week while I was thinking of something to make, because I was so bored, I found this crochet bear on YouTube by Amigurumi To Go (you can find the written pattern on her blog), and was like, hmm, the baby needs a toy, I’m bored, and I want to try this Amigurumi stuff I’ve been seeing for ages. So I got some of my navy blue yarn that is actually supposed to be for a blanket I’m making for the baby, but I ran out of black yarn, so it’s just been sitting there for about a week or so… Well, it was interesting to make it. I think I should have watched the video when it was time to shape the bear ‘cause this bear looks funny. Like, really funny. And it looks black… which totally isn’t working with the black nose I tried to imitate but I think I failed miserably. Hey, it’s my first time, I can learn from my mistakes now.
So things that I would do differently the next time I make it inshallah, which is probably going to be this week, are:
Have you made Amigurumi before? What did you make? How did it turn out the first time you made it? Tell be all about it in the comments below, I’d love to know! As Salamu Alikum and hi everyone. Today, I will share with you some headbands I recently tried and liked, as well as some bows, 'cause who doesn't like bows? I originally wasn’t going to post a crochet project I’ve done, because I didn’t have one, and was instead going to tell you how I got started with crocheting. But then I found some things that I wanted to try and I had the yarn to make it. Plus I didn’t have anything typed down. So, change of plans. First headband: Turban style. Pattern came from Crochet Spot. As Salamu Alikum and hi everyone! I became really interested in crochet jewelry lately and I mostly like necklaces, since earrings somehow eventually feel very heavy after a while plus my ear gets irritated. So I searched up some patterns, and found two I really liked. One used metal chains and the other one was just yarn. I didn’t have any chains at the time so I made the second one first. |
