As salamu alikum and hello!
Some time ago when my sewing machine had started to not work so well, I had just started to make this reversible fabric book cover. I was able to finish it alhamdulillah, but I forgot about it when I washed it after it got a stain on it the same day that I put it on the book I made it for.

It's a pattern from a YouTube video, Reversible Fabric Book Cover, from a channel that I used to make a wrist pin cushion, Easy Sewing for Beginners. It is a step-by-step video that was very easy to follow. The only thing is that I used 3 different kinds of fabrics, and because I used denim, it was a little hard to sew when I was sewing all three fabric together, but alhamdulillah I didn't have any problems with it. But I did notice that once I washed the cover, it became a little tighter and it looks a little awkward, at least to me,at the corners.
The fabrics I used:
The fabrics I used:
- the green fabric I bought and used to make my first zippered pouch, which is one side of the cover
- I cut up an old pink shirt, which was used for the other side of the cover
- and I also cut up a pair of jeans and used that as the side flap
Now, for this lone baby shoe. Don't worry, I will give it its friend soon inshallah. I am in the making of the scond shoe but since I was finished with the first one I thought I should share it with you all. It's so cute! I used a free pattern, from the blog Hopeful Honey, which has some really great crochet patterns (free and paid), DIY's, hair and beauty tutorials. I have made a few crochet items from her blog and I really like them.
This pattern is called Lemon Drop Baby Booties, and I used some Venus Knitting yarn and a size 3.50 mm hook, which is the recommended size hook for the pattern. The bow for some reason curls on one side and the other side it sticks out. Derp.
