As salamu alikum and hello everyone! People have started going to work this week mashallah. The summer has ended for most people, and schools are starting next week inshallah. I think :P. I know some of my friends are, inshallah.
I made a few things during the summer, and put a few of them into this post!

I haven’t sewed much, but since I am sewing, I have a big problem of having all the pins strewn across my desk, and on the floor sometimes. So a pin cushion was needed! I found one right away on YouTube alhamdulillah, and it was really easy and simple. It’s a pin cushion to wear on your wrist. It’s from the channel Easy Sewing for Beginners, and the tutorials are very easy to understand mashallah. The tutorial I put the link to is the quick video, but rest assured, there are step-by-step long videos to guide you through each part of the project. That was helpful for me, because I couldn’t remember how to close the cushion using the ladder stitch.
The pin cushion doesn’t need that much fabric, which was nice for trying a different project. You need Velcro, stuffing (from an old pillow or batting), and a small piece of thin cardboard. I had iron-on circular Velcro, which I figured out that it was iron-on after trying to sew it on a few times and the needle just got glue all over it…the cardboard came from a cereal box.

I made this Crochet Collar from a blog called Lulu Loves, and it was easy to make mashallah. I used one skein of Venus Knitting Yarn in a cream color. I made the loop for the button a little too big but it’s alright. I still like it. But, I don’t have anything to wear with it, yet, inshallah. I might give it away as a gift, who knows?
And last but not least, I made a special jar! Inshallah I will post about it next week, so check in next Monday inshallah to see what kind of jar it is! Wanna guess?
