As Salamu Alikum and hello!
I feel I ought to explain my absence, again. I know I didn’t post last Wednesday or yesterday and I apologize for that. We got so busy that I forgot that I didn’t have any posts ready like I was supposed to because I knew we were going to be busy. Subhanallah. So, because there wasn’t a post ready yesterday and I don’t have one for tomorrow, I decided that I should at least post SOMETHING this week, and decided to just give a little snippet of what’s been going on with me.

Let’s see, something that has been very excited but also made us worry is that my baby brother has started crawling!! He started last week I believe and has already gotten into things he shouldn’t touch like wires and cords, and he has gone into a bathroom. We have to be more careful now what we leave on the floor so that he can’t get hurt. He also is getting teeth mashallah!! I can see one in the front bottom, and my mom said he is getting another right next to it! He has become more vocal as well and it’s so funny LOL.
I have 2 more classes to go for horseback riding to make it 10 classes in total. After that, I don’t know if I am going to take anymore. I really really want to take more classes. My mom said if I want to keep going I would have to pay for it myself, which is alright with me, except that means I need to earn some money to do that.
The last class I did was grooming, and I liked doing that a lot! It was a different experience because I am usually on the horse and not really looking at it when riding except for the back of it’s head, and when I was grooming I got a better look at her (the horse I was grooming was female and I think her name was Black Tiger) and I noticed all these things that I wouldn’t have been able to see if I was riding. For example, I didn’t know that horse hair when wet feels very, rough. And I got a close look at the hooves and the point of hip which was very cool.
I had a uh, rather upsetting salon experience last month. I liked the result, but not the process. I cried. Yes, I cried in the salon while the hairdresser was blow drying my hair. It really hurt and the lady who ended up taking over didn’t listen to me once she found out how old I was! Since I decided a few months ago to go natural, I have a few inches of new growth and that made it harder to do my hair. It also didn’t help that for some reason, that month I started to get lots of knots and tangles in my hair. I know that I have a lot more split ends because the lady ripped through a lot of the knots and tangles. I don’t think that the hairdressers really knew how to do curly like mine, so I had to ask them (I had three hairdressers working on my hair that day, goodness) to change a few things that they were doing. Soo, I do believe that some of my new growth has been a little straightened as some strands don’t look as coily as before. So mad about that.
