As Salamu Alikum and hello everyone!
Today isn't really a craft post, but after getting this sewing machine, inshallah I hope to be showing some things I make using the sewing machine. This is my very own sewing machine! I have posted a picture where there is a sewing machine in the background, but that was my Grandma's that I was borrowing to make myself some curtains. Mashallah, I made 7 pannels, with the help of my Grandma!! My windows are really wide and are on two walls, so we needed a lot of fabric. They aren't completely finished, as I need to sew the hidden tabs in the back and lining on them, but for now they are hanging up, being patient.

have a picture here of one side of my windows with the curtains closed. I got the fabric from Ikea, as well as the rods and the other things that you need to hold up the rods ( I can't remember what they're called). Inshallah I might post about the curtains this Wednesday or next week.
Back to the sewing machine! I have used the sewing machine, and it is really nice mashallah. The foot controller is, how you, say, very smooth? ( I really couldn't think of another word) and if I press on it ever so slightly it starts sewing so I have to be careful to either move my foot or cut the machine off because I have a tendency to keep my foot on the controller when I'm not sewing.
I have tried out some of the stitches that interested me, but it only occurred to me to take a picture of the fabric swatch AFTER I had this post almost completed. I have to learn how to use the different parts of the machine such as the 'stitch length dial' and the 'stitch width dial'.

My Grandma got it for me mashallah, may Allah bless her, ameen. I unboxed it in the living room so she and my mom could see it as well. So you can see the living room carpet and coffee table. Why is it called a coffee table by the way? Anyone know?
I am trying out the 'Gallery' feature so tell me what you think about it yall.

I really like that it has a needle threader, it's so easy to use mashallah. The quick-set bobbin too. It makes getting started so easy. It's nice that it has a DVD with instructions on how to use the sewing machine. I haven't watched the pattern videos yet but I will inshallah and I will try to make some of the projects. The stitch dial is a little stiff and I feel like I might break it if I turn it hard, but once i turned it a few times, it got a little looser, but not that much.
I don't know if this was much of a review, since I just got it only last week and used it about three times. If I feel like I want to have another review after using it much longer, say, a few months then inshallah I will try to do so.

To end this off, I just want to apologize for today's post going out so late again. I would have this post ready and scheduled had my internet not stopped for about 2 days. It really is hard when the internet cuts off and you have something important to do. For example, I couldn't take a test for school and subhanallah, I failed it because I started it when the internet was on, then the school was having problems so I couldn't continue. THEN the internet cut off. You are given 23 hours to complete the test once you start it, even if you close the tab. So the time went away and I failed it, subhanallah. Qadr Allah wa ma shaa fa'lah (Allah has decreed it and what He willed has happened).
